The Deep Fried Disaster
Author: John Manjarres
So in a world where two thirds of all adults are overweight or obese, and some doctors predict that we will soon see a generation with a lower life expectancy than their parents due to obesity related diseases, I've come up with a solution that is both quick and easy. (Drum roll, please.)
Stop eating fried foods. (Gasp!)
Fried foods, despite having little to no nutritional value and being loaded with fat and calories, have become an accepted indulgence in our society. So accepted that many restaurants serve fries or chips alongside every meal.
It's no wonder that fried foods are the number one thing that most people crave – they are salty, addictive and plentiful.
Are Fried Foods Really That Bad?
In a nutshell, yes, fried foods really are that bad for you.
Take an average potato, bake it and you have 110 calories and 0 grams of fat. Take that same potato, turn it into French fries and you have 380 calories and 18 grams of fat.
Frying food is the easiest way to dramatically increase the calorie and fat content. And you know that extra calories and fat end up as extra body fat.
Other disasters that fried foods put you at risk for include:
* Heart Disease
* Diabetes
* Clogged Arteries
* High Blood Pressure
* Obesity
* Acne
Fried foods have also been known to trigger Acid Reflux and IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome).
Need I say more?
Going Fried-Free
Giving up fried food may not be easy, though it will arguably be one of the best things you do for your health and appearance. You will lose weight and improve your health by eliminating fried food from your life.
Keep in mind that, like all habits, the first thirty days will be the toughest. Make things easier by staying away from situations that place you in front of a big basket of fries or plate of doughnuts.
New Foods to Love
Instead of fried foods, enjoy the following:
* Substitute a salad or fruit instead of fries
* Baked potato – but pass on the butter and sour cream
* Baked chicken instead of fried chicken
* Baked chips instead of fried chips
* Raw veggie pieces
You may be surprised how delicious these healthier options taste.
Help, I'm addicted!
If your diet has consistently included fried foods - multiple times a day or several times each week, then giving it up may take more work than simply trying healthier options.
You'll need to use some mental strategies as well.
To do this focus on all the negative things about eating fried foods:
* Think of how bloated and heavy you feel afterward
* Remember the heart burn you've experienced
* Focus on the extra pounds you want to lose – imagine doughnuts and French fries sticking to your belly and thighs
* Look at your acne
* Feel the discomfort of being out of breath doing normal activities
You didn't think I was really going to skip telling you how beneficial exercise is to achieving your health and weight loss goals did you?
The bottom line is that exercise plus healthy eating will give you the body that you want.
What are you waiting for? Drop that bag of chips and call me for a workout that will change your life!

The Hidden Dangers Of Taking Vitamins
Author: wbdoyle
Vitamins and supplements are common solutions to many relevant health issues. Moreover, government research has shown that over half of American adults take nutritional supplements daily. Yet each year, millions of people take these substances in the wrong dosages, in improper combinations or as part of fad remedies or diets.
Taking the wrong supplement is not just a matter of missing out on the benefits. In fact, thousands of patients experience serious side effects and illness from off-the-shelf vitamin and herbal solutions. In the case of the dietary supplement Ephedra, which has been used to help people lose weight or increase energy, there have been over 80 deaths linked to its use.
Some people also have exposed themselves to possible overdoses by taking a combination of herbal and vitamin supplements that contain overlapping doses of nutrients. Excessive doses of vitamin A, for example, can cause liver and nerve damage, bone loss and birth defects. Yet many off-the-shelf supplements contain more than twice the daily dosage of vitamin A that is considered safe.
Similarly, vitamin D can be so toxic when it is taken in large doses that it can cause the body to over-absorb calcium, even pulling it from the bones and potentially causing a wide range of serious health problems.
Because of the limited regulation in the supplement industry, some vitamins contain lead, which is toxic for the human body.
Recognizing the dangers linked to supplements and the confusion about taking such products, companies such as American Health Sciences developed supplement lines that work best when taken together and that are recommended by doctors nationwide.
The Clinician's Choice line, for instance, is a family of toxin-free supplements designed to be taken together to efficiently deliver the purest essential vitamins and minerals directly to where the body needs them.
These pharmaceutical-grade supplements were created by a team of over 30 doctors with their patients' health and needs in mind and are manufactured to the highest standards possible.

How will I survive? Cellulite Areas
How to Tone Up Your Cellulite Areas
By: Joey Atlas
You buy them and they don't get the job done. Anti cellulite pills, lotions, gadgets, rubber tights and other silly money wasters that sell you hope and nothing else. The truth is, your best weapons in your battle against unwelcome cellulite are a smart nutritional routine and a consistent, properly structured workout program.
I'll assume you have a pretty good handle on the nutritional component.
As for the properly structured workout program, which you may indeed have, I've put together a butt, hip and thigh routine which you can incorporate into your current workouts. This routine specifically targets the areas where the appearance of cellulite tends to show up.
Keep in mind, I've been training people since the late eighties. Speaking strictly from experience, I can tell you that the following routine is responsible for helping many women dramatically change the appearance of their cellulite areas.
Lying on your side, do 10 reps of each exercise:
1) Bring both knees forward so your hips are at a 90 degree angle. Then straighten your top leg out in front of you, still keeping 90 degrees at the hip. Lift the top leg slowly about three feet off the ground & down.
2) Straighten both legs so your body is in a straight line. Tilt the hips forward slightly. Lift the top leg about three feet off the ground & down.
3) Put your top leg out in front of you, on the ground. Move your bottom leg forward slightly. Lift the bottom leg about 8 - 12 inches off the ground & down.
4) Repeat all 3 on the other side.
On the elbows and knees, do 10 reps of each exercise:
1) Extend one leg straight back with your toe on the ground. Lift that leg up toward the ceiling & down. Then switch legs.
2) Lift your knee off the floor. Extend that same heel back and up so your leg is pointing toward the ceiling & then bring the knee back into you. Then switch legs.
Standing up, do 10 reps of each exercise:
1) Start with your feet together. Step out in front in to a lunge position. Touch the ground with opposite hand. Come back up & step back to the starting position. Then switch legs.
2) Put one foot up on a step (12 - 18 inches high). Slowly step up and down with the other foot. Then switch legs.
If this routine is easy try going through it twice. If you still need more of a challenge, increase the reps to 15 or 20 per set.

How will I survive? Stress
Top 5 ways to stay calm and reduce stress
By: John Halderman
Are you looking for more calm satisfying experience with you daily life?
Do you get frustrated with yourself at the end of the day because you've gotten stressed, unfocused or agitated?
Are you tired of getting over emotional and worn out.
Whether you are experiencing one or all of these feelings here are my 5 best tips on reducing the unwanted feelings so that you will feel calm and satisfied with yourself each day.
1. Catch yourself when you exhibit a feeling of behavior that you don't like and change it.
At first you may not notice the feeling until after you have gone through it, that's fine.
Think about how you would rather have felt.
Think about how you would rather have handled yourself. Decide how you want to do it next time.
As you continue with this process each day you will find that you will notice more easily what you are doing throughout the day.
You will begin to catch yourself earlier and earlier as you do this.
Eventually, you will be seeing yourself while you are doing it, then stop yourself.
At some point you will be able to notice before you even begin to feel and react in the undesirable way.
Here is where you will actually begin to change the way you react to the situations in your life and change your behavior.
2. Stay centered all day by refocusing throughout the day.
Develop the habit of paying attention to your mindset as the day goes on.
Several times a day, step away from what you are doing to get re-centered.
Sit down close your eyes and take several long slow deep breaths while imagining the tension washing slowly out of your body.
Notice your breathing getting slower and calmer.
Just think about your breath.
Try to keep from thinking about anything in particular.
It's ok to not be actively thinking for a while!
3. Watch out for your expectations.
You are setting yourself up for failure, upset and frustration when you set too many standards as to how you think things should be.
Think about what leads you to getting upset?
Why does it upset you?
Notice that you decide how many things should be, based on your own outlook and desire.
The things others do that are not to your liking, even the things you do that don't match your expectations.
Ask yourself, really how important is it that they be exactly that way
Ask, who am I to insist that they are that way?
Does it matter that much?
Is it worth getting myself worked up about?
Choose which expectations are really important for you to hold on to and which ones are not.
Holding on to many expectations just complicates your life, with constant judgment.
Simplify your life and reduce the stress!
4. Delegate.
This applies to your personal life as well as at work.
Most of us think of delegating as a workplace skill, but it can apply personally as well.
We are all very busy these days with our activities and duties.
Trying to fit it all in and get it all accomplished can lead to tension.
For various reasons, many of us have developed the habit of thinking we must do it all ourselves.
Take a look at your situation.
Think about it, really, how important is it that everything must be done perfectly to your standards?
Are you sure there are not other people who can assist you. Are the other people in your life pulling their weight?
Many times we get into habitual ruts that don't need to be as they are.
Look at what has been, with the eye of reducing the pressure on yourself.
5. Accept other people as one.
As you think of yourself as different and separate from the rest of mankind, you unknowingly create thinking and behavior that separates you from others.
This kind of separate thinking leads us to think we are superior to others which leads to judgment then selfish thinking and behavior.
We are then having an internal battle with others, which brings on fear, competition and comparison, ending in frustration and anxiety.
Look to discovering how to see yourself as one with all of mankind, not as separate.
Focus on what we have in common rather that the relatively small uniqueness.

How will I survive? As Home Mom
How to Succeed as a Stay-at-Home Mom
By: Donald Lee
Stay-at-home moms are no longer just the co-stars from Leave It To Beaver, the Brady Bunch, and other television shows from a bygone era. Taking care of the kids has become the cool thing to do again for women in their 20s and 30s. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, there are at least 5.4 million stay-at-home parents in the United States alone. These are a dynamic bunch of women, and men, who see opportunities in their domestic role, especially the opportunities presented by the Internet.
Sure, many of these parents gave up exciting careers and important roles in their community to take up the time-honored tradition of rearing their children. You yourself may have put goals and dreams on the back burner when you accepted the commitment and responsibility of raising your little ones. You understand the importance of a parent being there for those firsts: the first crawl, the first step, the first "momma" and "dadda."
At the same time, though, you may feel like you have taken on too much. Not only do you have the pressures of bringing up a smart, well-behaved child. You worry about being able to make ends meet to provide everything your child needs.
If this sounds all too familiar, take a deep breath, turn off the television, and log online. No, don't think you're going to surf the Web to just pass the time. The Internet is your portal to transforming your stay-at-home life. In between the diaper changes and feedings, bedtimes and burpings, you can reach beyond the walls of your home and access the outside world as never before. The benefits are as close to limitless as the millions of sites on the Web, including:
* E-support system. Whether you're searching for other stay-at-home moms to lean on, folks with the same health ailment as yourself, or even just other Oprah fanatics, the Internet is like one big community center where you can find them.
* Friends and fun. Through e-mail, chat rooms, and instant messaging, the Internet is one of the easiest ways to keep in touch with old friends and family members, as well as to meet new acquaintances.
* Cyber community. Look for your neighborhood's Web site for information on shopping, festivals, town hall meetings, and other local interests. If you can't find your town's home on the Internet, take a leadership role in creating it with the help of your neighbors.
* Cap and gown. Many community colleges and universities offer e-courses. You never need to step foot on the campus to earn degrees in finance, English, accounting, or whatever else suit your fancy.
* Steals and deals. If you're looking for some of the biggest discounts and best selection for anything from electronics to groceries, books to automobiles, the Web is your marketplace.
* Cash flow. The Internet can work for you, as well, if you are on the other end of the cash register. The Web provides an unparalleled avenue to sell goods. It can link you to interested buyers if you're only looking to unload a few knickknacks to unclutter your home. If you have enough stuff to open a garage sale, you can do that, too, without time or space constraints. Or try your hand at a full-time online business if you get bit by the entrepreneurial bug.
The Internet can open up the outside world to you for all of these benefits, but you need the right set of keys to open the door. Your first "key" is the type of Internet access you use. You'll need to weigh your budget versus how fast you want to navigate on the Web. Cable and DSL hook ups provide zippy access but can cut into your profit margins. Dial up, on the other, can be cheap or even free, but can slow down your productivity.
Once you have your hook up established, you'll need to get your feet wet before you do heavy surfing. Find trusted sites for your activities. Look for certified schools to take courses at and secure shopping zones to purchase at. When selling or starting your own business, do your research to find the most trusted and thrifty auction and classified sites. The right classified sites can be like your neighborhood paper, except they reach millions of people around the globe. In many cases, the best classified sites will also charge no start up or transaction fees and offer safe ways to communicate and do business with clients.
Settle these basics, and you can be virtually ensured to become a true M.O.M, a master of multitasking. In the time it takes your child to take a nap or watch an episode of Blues Clues, you will be able to earn 4 more credits to your finance degree, buy a new mp3 player, and sell a closet's worth of stuff.

How will I survive? Best Man Speech
Best Man Speech
By: Frankie Janiyan
You are in a position of honor. Your close friend is assuming the position and he needs your help. He has asked you to be his "best man", to stand by his side and support him through his last act as a free man. You relish your thoughts of all the fun aspects of your job; you get to help coordinate a stag party, ok, so maybe that's the extent of the fun parts. Still you want to help your old buddy make as cool and smooth transition to the other side as possible; you want to be the best best man you can be. You're going to have to make a speech, a verbal representation of good times past, current times observed in a promising light, and words of ominous wisdom pertaining to the future of the newly linked couple.
Let's break this speech thing down into some workable components. You need to first embrace the fact that as the deliverer of a speech, you need to project not only your voice, but others projectiles like enthusiasm, positivism, confidence, and an entertaining sense of composure. I know it sounds like a lot. Don't worry; we have a plan to bring you through to the successful side of this speech writing/delivery.
The most important component of your speech is not the words you choose to deliver, it is how you present them to your audience. Think about it, you know that the last thing that they want to endure is a long winded, non-personally relevant, over-mushy, big bag of wind. They want entertainment. They want lighthearted laughter. They want it to be over relatively soon so that the celebration can continue. So there is your first lesson. In a nutshell: Be confident; speak up; smile a lot; don't belabor your points. These aspects of delivery will make even a poorly written speech flow easier thereby enhancing the undercurrent of the whole ceremony.
You are going to need to at least write a flowchart to have in front of your eyes to keep you on task. Don't make the mistake of thinking you'll be able to fake your way through it. Most people are not fluent public speakers. This has nothing to do with you; it's just that public speaking, sometimes especially in front of friends and acquaintances who you would think you'd be at ease in front of, makes people nervous. Without some notes for reference, speechmakers commonly will draw a blank at the crucial moment of deliverance. Although the friendly crowd won't judge you for a poor performance, in retrospect you will wish that you had shined when the focus was on you. You will want to flow like a pro, making all wonder how you pulled off such an orchestrated masterpiece.
As for the content, that is where you are the expert already. Remember that you got this job because of your knowledge. You know the groom. You probably know him better than his new wife (mostly), especially if you have been friends for an extended period of time. Use your knowledge to bring out the lighter side of life. Keep topics non-offensive and lighthearted for the most part. It is expected and would be a letdown to the crowd if you did not do at least a little grilling. Poke some borderline, yet still clean, fun at the groom and whoever else may be present as a target of your room-captivating speech. Spontaneity is a beautiful thing as well. If you draw a blank, just take a breath and tell a little story that nobody but you and the groom would know. The audience will appreciate being made to feel like insiders, and you will be remembered as the best man who knew how to lay it down like a breeze through the trees. Salute!

How will I survive? A Panik Attack
How to Stop Panic Attacks - 7 Simple Tips to Prevent Panic Attacks Symptoms From Ruining Your Life
by John Cielo
To know how to stop panic attacks, you first need to recognise the symptoms, then by understanding their causes, you learn that they cannot harm you. Once you can accept that they aren't dangerous you are better placed to stop them occurring again.
Here you'll learn, how to recognise the symptoms, what the underlying causes are, and 7 things that you can do to help stop panic attacks, without the use of drugs.
Symptoms of Panic Attacks
First you should get to recognise the main symptoms of panic attacks. These are; tight chest and / or throat, racing heart, palpitations, difficulty breathing, hyperventilation, shaking, dizziness, tingling fingers, nausea, a feeling of detachment, a fear that something terrible is about to happen, e.g. death.
These symptoms are truly frightening, and to the victim, very real. However, they aren't real, but just the body's primeval reaction to a perceived dangerous situation which doesn't in fact exist, but occurs through the sufferer's irrational fear or fears.
In other words, there's no foundation to the symptoms, they are just symptoms, and can't harm you.
Causes of Panic Attacks
Everyone suffers from a certain level of anxiety in their lives, this is natural in today's world. And they handle both the anxiety and the stress that can occur due to certain events or situations. But someone who has severe anxiety on a daily basis over a prolonged period of time, may have difficulty handling these stressful events.
In this case, an everyday stressful event like being stuck in an elevator, held up in traffic, a job interview, an exam, etc., can trigger a panic attack. So you have two things going on; heightened anxiety and resultant panic attacks.
Now the causes of the general anxiety may be one or more of several things; genetics (family history of anxiety and panic attacks), gender (women are 50% more likely to have anxiety and panic attacks), medical conditions (e.g. mitral valve prolapse), medications (e.g. Ritalin), fears & phobias, and a traumatic event or events earlier in life.
7 Things to Help Prevent Panic Attacks
Apart from mainstream medications like tranquilizers and antidepressants, which can have some nasty side effects, there are several natural things that you can do to try to stop panic attacks happening again. Here are 7 things you can do to help stop panic attacks...
1. Get to know the symptoms: You've already made a good start by getting to know what the symptoms and underlying causes are, and, you now know that panic attacks cannot cause you harm. But continue with your research and also talk to your doctor.
2. Get plenty of sleep: It's very important to get 8 hours uninterrupted sleep during the night, so that your body can recover and recharge after your energy-sapping days.
Here are some tips to help; don't go to bed on a full stomach; don't take caffeine before bed; don't drink alcohol before bed; don't read too long in bed; ensure your mattress is the most comfortable for you; ensure the bedroom is completely darkened; shut out all extraneous noise, etc.
3. Use known techniques to help relax: Learn how to meditate, attend yoga classes, what about self-hypnosis? Practising these techniques can reduce stress and improve your sense of overall well-being.
4. Cut-out stimulants: Stimulants are believed to be a trigger for panic attacks. So anything with caffeine in it, e.g. coffee, tea, etc., should be avoided. Avoid, or seriously reduce, smoking and alcohol too.
5. Eat a healthy diet: Cut-out preserved and processed foods. Stick to natural and organic if you can. Eat your 5 portions of fresh fruit and vegetables a day. A healthy, well balanced diet, is conducive to your overall health and helps to build-up your immune system to ward off illnesses and infections.
If you know you are overweight, this may be playing a part in your anxiety, so a well balanced diet can help here too.
6. Exercise daily: This helps to improve your overall health position both in body and mind. Choose the exercise that suits you best and that you will enjoy, it shouldn't be a drudge: for example running, power walking, walking the dog, swimming, pilates, dancing, home workouts, etc.
7. Reduce stress wherever you can: With higher levels of anxiety, a relatively small stressful event can trigger a panic attack. So get to recognise typical stressful situations that affect you, and either avoid them or learn how to deal with them better. Many times it's just about putting value on your health above other things.
For example; don't take more work on than you can reasonable handle; do take more time off, but use it to relax, not to take on other stressful stuff; if driving to work everyday is stressful, can public transport take the strain?; when shopping, can you go outside the busy times when there are less crowds? etc.
All of the above can help to prevent further panic attacks. However, a key determinant in recurring panic attacks is the very 'fear' of having another one. This fear is imprinted in your psyche because the panic attack symptoms you experienced were so terrifying.
The fear builds on your already heightened anxiety so that a relatively small stressful event can trigger another panic attack.
This is the 'cycle of anxiety' (anxiety > fear > panic attack > anxiety > fear > panic attack, etc.) that has to be broken if you are to stop panic attacks and cure your general anxiety.
To discover just how you can break this vicious cycle of anxiety in order to stop panic attacks and cure your anxiety, please go to http://eliminatepanicattacks.blogspot.com and get your life back on track again.

How will I survive? A Depression
Ways To Overcome Depression - Your Options In Conquering Depression by Carolyn Anderson
You may have heard about depression many times and indeed, depression is common and most often, people with this disorder do not seek treatment. If you are one of those suffering from depression, it is important to note that there are ways to overcome depression and you can actually seek treatment.
You have to understand that depression is more than just being down and sad. It can include symptoms like loss of interest in the things that you use to enjoy and may include difficulties of sleeping, loss of energy as well as weight loss. Not only that, it may also include thoughts of death or committing suicide, thus it is important for you to not wait for depression to destroy your life before seeking treatment.
Exercising your mind and body
Indeed, your thoughts, your emotions as well as your physical self will be drained with depression and finding ways to overcome depression as early as possible can be a wise move. You may start with some simple steps like having regular exercise to help you ease off the tension in your body. Meditation is also a good way to help you learn proper breathing and learning how to relax. It will also help you empty your mind and make you stay calmer.
Finding support groups
Finding support groups, from families, friends, to people suffering from the same disorder is also one of the good ways to overcome depression and manage its effects in your life. Talking about your disorder with people going through the same problem will also help you find new strength in dealing with the symptoms of depression.
Medical treatment
Medical treatment for depression often involves antidepressant medications, SSRIs and some anti-anxiety medications, although experts often recommend getting therapies together with medications and not just rely on drugs itself to successfully fight depression.
Psychotherapy and NLP
One of the most effective ways to overcome depression is through psychotherapy. In fact, psychotherapy is considered the most effective treatment for depression and other anxiety disorders and problems. Although there are many psychotherapy techniques used in treating depression, addiction and anxiety disorders, NLP or Neuro-Linguistic Programming is found to have quick results when it comes to overcoming depression. NLP also allows you to overcome depression without having to take drugs and of course, a much healthier way to combat this disorder.
Not only does NLP help you fight your depression but also helps you in improving your life from your career, to interpersonal relationships and in gaining more self-confidence and self-esteem. Aside from depression, it also helps you overcome other hard to break habits as well as fears and phobias.
Aside from NLP, hypnotherapy as well as cognitive behavioral therapy or CBT are also other effective techniques that are used in overcoming depression, anxiety disorders as well as treating phobias and fears.
Indeed, you can find ways to overcome depression and put an end to this disorder, for as long as you seek help and if you will allow yourself to be completely healed from this devastating disorder. You just have to take that first step to healing and that is seeking help.

How will I Survive the Recession - Part1
Predicting a recession is like forecasting a storm, in fact it’s very difficult to know when the first sprinkles will start, when the big drops will hit the roof, and precisely what might happen in between. But like a storm that leaves damage in its wake, a recession can have a serious impact on your live.
Be prepared and check for the following money saving issues. First assessment should be to downsize all costs related to your daily living that includes heating, water consumption and electricity.
1. Save Money and Reduce Water Consumption
As water is not free of charge, you get billed by the amount you used in a specific time. To reduce your water costs, you can limit the time for a shower, screw on special water saving adapters to your water faucet, and get a rain barrel that can be used to water the garden.
2. Save Money and Reduce Power Consumption
Unplug computers, HiFi, stereo systems and gadgets; also "stand-by-mode" does need power supply. Check you light bulbs- will a smaller bulb may be as good as the current one. Check your refrigerator and washing machine, if necessary replace old units with energy efficient models - modern units are great power savers. Always use a lid for the pot or pan that will speed up your cooking time and safe about 30% of electrical energy.
3. Save Money and Keep Thermostat Settings Reasonable
As a rough guide do not heat more than 68º in the winter and not less than 75º in the summer. If you feel cold, simply wear a sweater and less when it's warm. In hot summers, instead using the air-condition system at all time, use a fan to get cold breeze.
4. Save Money by appropriate Hot Water Temperature
You can set your hot water temperature to a fixed value. Only set it to a temperature you really need, if you
have too mix your hot water with cold water the thermostat's settings are too high.
Good Luck, thats may the first things to do when facing an recession.
I will survive song by Gloria Gaynor
May the below song helps someone to overcome hard times.
Performed by: Gloria Gaynor
Songwriters: Fekaris, Dino; Perren, Frederick J
First I was afraid
I was petrified
Kept thinking I could never live
without you by my side
But I spent so many nights
thinking how you did me wrong
I grew strong
I learned how to carry on
and so you're back
from outer space
I just walked in to find you here
with that sad look upon your face
I should have changed my stupid lock
I should have made you leave your key
If I had known for just one second
you'd be back to bother me
Go on now go walk out the door
just turn around now
'cause you're not welcome anymore
weren't you the one who tried to hurt me with goodbye
you think I'd crumble
you think I'd lay down and die
Oh no, not I
I will survive
as long as i know how to love
I know I will stay alive
I've got all my life to live
I've got all my love to give
and I'll survive
I will survive
It took all the strength I had
not to fall apart
kept trying hard to mend
the pieces of my broken heart
and I spent oh so many nights
just feeling sorry for myself
I used to cry
Now I hold my head up high
and you see me
somebody new
I'm not that chained up little person
still in love with you
and so you felt like dropping in
and just expect me to be free
now I'm saving all my loving
for someone who's loving me
Good Luck

How will I survive? Getting Mobbed
The psychologist Heinz Leymann is the founder of the term “workplace mobbing”. Leymann was studying the consequence of workplace violence in Sweden, to describe a form of organizational pathology in which a group of co-workers essentially joined up to humiliate, degrade and exclude a worker.
Red flag symptoms of being under attack of co-workers (mobbing) are:
- Isolation or marginalization (for example being left out of meetings, being avoided by colleagues, having your office moved).
- Being the object of gossip or badmouthing by colleagues and superiors.
- Experiencing ongoing petty harassment or bureaucratic hassles (for example unusual audit of expense records/finances, misplaced or delayed administrative requests).
- Being given meaningless tasks or assignments far below your qualification.
- Being subjected to ongoing criticism, public humiliation, or ridicule.
How to survive if you have become a target of Mobbing?
1. If you are sure that you are a mobbing target, best you can do - leave the Company - that may sound hard but is the best you can do for your career. Mobbing is not illegal, it becomes illegal when it comes to harassment, for example. If this happen, consider professional help.
2. If you decide to stay in that Company be prepared for the following:
- Be careful by taking on leadership positions
- Always stay cool do not loose emotional control. If you need a vent, talk to your friends or family.
- Make notes and write down everything and keep that on a save place.
- Get the opinion of an outside person, to see if you are may overreacting.
